PR stunt leads to accusations of sexism
This publication ran a story earlier this week about Steak and Blowjob Day, the gentlemen’s Valentine’s Day, which is now upon us.
It seems the Danish fast food delivery company Just Eat saw the occasion as a prime marketing opportunity and earlier today on its Facebook page made the following post:
“Girls. Are you ready? Just Eat can deliver the steak – can you deliver the rest?” accompanied by a lipstick kiss graphic and a Steak and Blowjob Day stamp.
Berlingske Business reports that the post led to a flurry of criticism from concerned parents and men and women who claimed that the stunt was sexist and in poor taste. Just Eat had removed the post by 1pm.
Just Eat started in Denmark but has since expanded to become a global brand. It is currently in the process of being listed on the London stock exchange.
