This article is more than 3 years old.
Brøndby and FC Copenhagen both ranked in the top 10 in the world by the popular Facebook group, Ultras World
Danish club football may not be the most prestigious in the world in terms of glamour and glory on the pitch.
But when it comes to vocal and tifo support in the stands, two Superliga clubs can compete with the best of them.
The Facebook group Ultras World, which has over 1 million followers, ranked Brøndby and FC Copenhagen in the top 10 in the world for 2021.
Brøndby (Sydsiden) ranked 5th overall, while cross-town bitter rivals FC Copenhagen (Section 12) followed just behind in 7th.
Indeed, the ultras have helped the Copenhagen derby develop into one of the best matchups in Europe for football fans looking to enjoy an intense atmosphere.

In a Legia of their own
Polish outfit Legia Warsaw topped the list, followed by Red Star (Serbia), Zenit St Petersburg, Marseille and Brøndby.
Swedish side Djurgården came sixth, followed by FC Copenhagen, Slavia Prague, Ferencvaros and Ruch Chorzow, another Polish club.
For the uninitiated, ultras are fan groups that support their teams fanatically, usually accompanied by creative tifo banners, vocal chanting, pyrotechnics … and a regrettable bit of violence at times.
