This article is more than 3 years old.

Every once in a while, you need to renovate or redecorate your house or apartment to make it really feel like home again. You might need to fix things around the house, or perhaps you just want a different interior. One thing’s for sure: renovation can be complicated and you have to know what you’re doing and which products you are buying. For example, getting SOGD products is a good option because their range, from door handles to kitchen cupboards, is affordable and of the quality you deserve.

Here are 6 ways you can refresh the look of your home:

Refresh The Old Fixtures
It might seem like a small change, but changing the doorknobs and handles in your home will give it an entirely new feel. New knobs on the doors, new handles on your desk drawers, or in your kitchen will give those pieces of furniture a fresh look. A simple difference like this can make your furniture look brand new again. This is, without question, one of the simplest and cheapest ways to decorate your home and give it a fresh look.

Show Your Wooden Floors
Plenty of homeowners are covering their beautiful hardwood floors with carpets. Even though carpets can give your home a touch of personality, there’s nothing like exposing your hardwood floors for the guests to see and feel. Wooden floors give your home a touch of elegance and sense of wholesomeness. You can always add rugs for some vibrancy.

Display Tasteful Art
One of the best ways to decorate your home is to display tasteful art in the living room, bedroom, and halls. Make sure to coordinate the art with your furniture. This will give your home a touch of your unique personality. The art you are displaying doesn’t have to be expensive. It just has to be something you enjoy looking at. It doesn’t matter if it’s a painting, a poster or a sculpture; a good piece of art is always a good conversation starter.

Get A Few House Plants
If you want to give your home the soul it deserves, make sure to get a few house plants. There’s nothing more refreshing than having a little bit of nature inside your living room. This kind of decoration will be good for your mood and your lungs. The number of people buying house plants has exploded over the past couple of years – it’s time to join the trend!

Make Sure To Declutter
Sometimes, the best way to decorate your home isn’t by bringing something new into the house, but moving stuff out and decluttering. Every single one of us has unnecessary stuff just laying around the living room. Things like empty boxes, picture frames with no pictures in them, or books gathering dust on the coffee table. Once you find a better place for those items, declutter your living room, and wipe your coffee tables clean, your living room will breathe again. This is a simple and cheap way to make your home shine.

Hang Movie Posters On The Walls
If you are a movie enthusiast, one of the ways you can decorate your home is by putting up movie posters. Of course, make sure to choose the posters of your favorite movies and try to pick the most beautiful ones. Movie posters are a form of art and this means they will make your presence in the home much more pleasant. Also, having them on the walls will make it easier for you to start a conversation with guests because they will be intrigued by your display.

A lot of people don’t have the inspiration to decorate their homes by themselves and this is why they are willing to pay a professional interior designer. You too have this option, but if you try the 6 things we talked about today, you will give your home a fresh look on a budget.

A survey carried out by Megafon for TV2 has found that 71 percent of parents have handed over children to daycare in spite of them being sick.

Moreover, 21 percent of those surveyed admitted to medicating their kids with paracetamol, such as Panodil, before sending them to school.

The FOLA parents’ organisation is shocked by the findings.

“I think it is absolutely crazy. It simply cannot be that a child goes to school sick and plays with lots of other children. Then we are faced with the fact that they will infect the whole institution,” said FOLA chair Signe Nielsen.

Pill pushers
At the Børnehuset daycare institution in Silkeborg a meeting was called where parents were implored not to bring their sick children to school.

At Børnehuset there are fears that parents prefer to pack their kids off with a pill without informing teachers.

“We occasionally have children who that they have had a pill for breakfast,” said headteacher Susanne Bødker. “You might think that it is a Panodil more than a vitamin pill, if it is a child who has just been sick, for example.”

Parents sick and tired
Parents, when confronted, often cite pressure at work as a reason for not being able to stay at home with their children.

Many declare that they simply cannot take another day off, as they are afraid of being fired.

Allan Randrup Thomsen, a professor of virology at KU, has heavily criticised the parents’ actions, describing the current situation as a “vicious circle”.

“It promotes the spread of viruses, and it adds momentum to a cycle where parents are pressured by high levels of sick-leave. If they then choose to send the children to daycare while they are still recovering, they keep the epidemic going in daycares, and this in turn puts a greater burden on the parents.”
