Danish captain underlines that Black Lives Matter is important to everyone on the team
When Denmark take on England in Parken Stadium in the Nations League on Tuesday next week, both teams will be kneeling in support of the Black Lives Matter movement before kickoff.
England striker Mason Greenwood had expressed that it was very likely that the England players would kneel before the game, and the Danes have now followed suit.
“We players want very much to back England’s desire to kneel before kickoff on Tuesday,” said Denmark captain Simon Kjær.
“So, along with the English players, we will show that we stand together against racism and discrimination by kneeling before the starting whistle blows. It’s a very important movement, and it means something to every one of us on the team.”
