S-trains in parts of Copenhagen experienced cancellations and delays this morning after a train hit a dumpster thrown onto the tracks early this morning.
Rail operator DSB deems the act to be vandalism and has reported it to the police. The large rubbish container got wedged under the train, which subsequently got stuck.
“We are looking at this case as being very serious,” Tony Bispeskov, the head of communications at DSB, told Metroxpress newspaper.
“It is vandalism and it means that a lot of trains were cancelled this morning.”
