It’s the price for being the only party in the government, say the conservative-liberals

A record-low number of Danes would vote for Venstre if a general election took place today, according to the results of a new poll conducted by Wilke for Jyllands-Posten.
After barely a year in power, the support for Venstre has sunk to its lowest level for ten years.
Only 16.5 percent of voters would choose the conservative-liberal party, which would result in Venstre’s number of seats in Folketinget falling from 34 to 29.
Discouraging results
Jakob Ellemann-Jensen, the party’s spokesperson, described the results as “discouraging”.
“Being the only party that stands on the precipice and is attacked takes its toll,” Ellemann-Jensen told Jyllands-Posten.
“After all, if people are unsatisfied with something, they blame those who are in power.”
