This exhibition features the works of Hans Smidth (1839-1917), a painter known for his depictions of Jutland and its local inhabitants.
Inspired by the motifs of author Steen Steensen Blicher, Smidth is acclaimed for his craftmanship and attention to detail.
In addition to 18 depictions of the windswept, mostly treeless landscapes, the exhibition features the first-ever public display of his 1900 painting ‘Storks Gathering Before Taking Flight’.
