Executives from around the world gathering at AC Forum
Jonas Wilstrup, the convention director at Wonderful Copenhagen, has predicted that 2016 will be the capital’s busiest ever year for conventions.
“This will be our busiest congress year ever, and the forum is a platform that enables us to leverage Copenhagen as a congress destination in the years to come,” he said.
He made his remarks in reference to the ongoing general assembly of AC Forum, a networking platform for some 3,000 member associations in the medical and clean-tech industries who regularly organise conventions.
“Copenhagen is known as a world-class congress destination, providing good infrastructure and the required logistical services for both small and large events,” said Daniel Waigl, the president of AC Forum.
“It is a safe and attractive city, home to strong life science and clean tech industries, which are both of specific interest to our member associations.”
Waigl said that many AC Forum members had already staged successful congresses in Copenhagen and plan to do so in the years to come.
