Folly Farm solar park near London acquired for 171 million kroner
The Danish investment firm Nordic Solar Energy has announced it has purchased a 13.1 MW solar park in the UK for about 171 million kroner.
The acquisition of the Folly Farm solar park, located near London, increases the value of assets under its management to nearly 500 million kroner and doubles its solar energy portfolio to 24.3 MW.
“With the solar park in England, we are now present in five EU countries and adding an extra currency,” said Nikolaj Hoff, the managing director of Nordic Solar Energy.
“This gives us a diversification of risk in the investment, which no other Danish provider can offer. Simultaneously we get a sensible and stable return. This is something we are very pleased with in these otherwise turbulent times for the stock markets.”
Nordic Solar Energy already owns and operates facilities in Germany, Spain, Italy and Belgium.
