Asia’s most expensive apartment, a 301 sqm luxury apartment in the middle of Hong Kong, has been sold to Danish businessman Daniel Åxman.
According to the South China Morning Post, Åxman paid about 425 million kroner for the two-storey apartment in the plush Opus Hong Kong building located on a cliff side in the inner part of the city.
The apartment has its own garden and swimming pool and is one of 12 apartments in the building.
Vedbæk peanuts
The sale surpassed the earlier per sqm record in Asia set in April.
In comparison, the most expensive house ever sold in Denmark was a villa on Strandvej in Vedbæk north of Copenhagen, which sold for a ‘paltry’ 120 million kroner.
