Who else but Brøndby, the country’s best-supported team
While nobody really knows which football team British Prime Minister David Cameron supports, it’s common knowledge that his Danish counterpart, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, is a Brøndby fan, as she recently attended the club’s 50th birthday celebrations.
And now, thanks to a recent survey conducted by BT, we can now find out which team is the most popular in Parliament.
Brøndby the top club … in Parliament
BT asked all 179 members of parliament where their loyalty lies in regards to football and was rewarded with over 100 responses.
According to its findings, Brøndby is the most popular team in Parliament, with 15 parliamentary members pledging their allegiance to Denmark’s most-popular football club.
AaB Aalborg and FC Copenhagen come in a close second and third position, with 13 and 12 parliamentary followers (not bad as FCK was only founded in 1992).
