Tinder-Style networking app helps professionals connect with like minds
The networking app Networkr is relaunching under a new name today – Grip – with a new app exclusively for Denmark. With Grip, it is completely up to the user to join the communities that interest them.
This is a big difference compared to other professional networks that only let you meet professionals in your vicinity or where your ability to discover new connections is limited by your existing ‘connections’ on the platform.
“We believe there should be a fun and more engaging way to discover new professional opportunities in which you are not limited by your existing network and/or location,” said Tim Groot, the Grip co-founder and CEO.
Let’s shake
Root said that a professional that a Grip user would like to meet “is never more than a handshake away”, regardless of location, background, or if they are “in each other’s network”.
“With Grip it becomes super-easy to meet a potential investor, your next employer, or interesting like-minded people,” he said. “Simply join the communities that interest you and swipe to get handshakes and start dialogues.”
As of today’s launch, there are already 15 communities live – among them are communities such as UI/UX, Team Sketch, Seed Investment CPH and Copenhagen Startups – as well as Copenhagen-based co-working spaces SOHO/NOHO and Rocket Labs.
