New openings will bring Danish coffee bar count up to 14
The coffee bar chain Starbucks, which currently has 11 coffee bars in Denmark, is opening a further three in Copenhagen this summer and autumn.
The supermarket company Dansk Supermarked holds the licence to run Starbucks in Denmark, and Marianne Bedsted, the franchise head, said the company had high hopes for the new branches.
“We have already opened four Starbucks coffee bars in the Copenhagen area and they have been well received by the customers,” she said.
“The three new coffee bars have great locations, so they have great potential.”
The three cafés will be at the Fisketorvet shopping centre, Frederiksborggade in central Copenhagen and the Frederiksberg Centre.
There are more than 21,000 Starbucks cafés worldwide.
