Be on the west coast in just 50 minutes
There's good news for commuters looking to travel between Copenhagen and Esbjerg as the first flight route in 15 years has opened up between the two cities.
The newly-established airline ES-air has established the 50-minute route.
”With the new flight, the travel time from Esbjerg to Copenhagen is significantly reduced,” Ole Wieth Christensen, the flight route development head at Copenhagen Airport, said.
”Holiday-makers and employees at the many international companies in the Esbjerg area will be able to benefit from getting to Copenhagen in just 50 minutes.”

21 weekly departures
The route will be serviced by Danish airline Jet Time. Its ATR72 propeller planes have a capacity of 66 passengers.
The first flight took off today and Jet Time offers 21 weekly departures from each city.
From Copenhagen, the weekday flight departures are at 06:00, 08:30, 17:15 and 20:45, and from Esbjerg at 07:15, 09:40, 18:30 and 21:50. There is also one flight leaving Copenhagen on Sunday at 15:55 and leaving Esbjerg at 17:05.
Flights between the capital and Esbjerg stopped in 1999 after the Storebælt Bridge connection was established.
