Consultancy group reaping the rewards of investments
For the consulting group COWI, 2014 was the best year on record. The company made a pre-tax profit of 253 million kroner on a net turnover of 5.313 billion kroner, up from the 198 million kroner it earned in 2013.
The company has made a number of acquisitions in recent years, including the British engineering firm Donaldson Associates Ltd, and puts its strong 2014 performance down to reaping the benefits of these investments.
Expects continued growth
Lars-Peter Søbye, the group president and CEO, stated that this is something the company will continue to do next year.
“In 2015, we will focus on strengthening our specialist competencies through acquisitions that can contribute additional expertise in areas where we are already strong, and where there will be considerable market demand in the coming years,” he said.
COWI expects continued growth ahead, partly due to increasing public expenditure on infrastructure in Scandinavia and in North America.
