Porn no big deal to Danes
This article is more than 10 years old.
Porn-like images have become so prevalent that most no longer have a strong opinion about it
Porn is a part of daily life in Denmark, and most people do not spend much time thinking about it, one way or the other.
An Epinion study conducted for DR3 asked Danes whether they had positive or negative feelings about porn, and fully one half said that they had no opinion whatsoever.
“It's nothing special anymore,” sexologist Sara Skaarup told Metroxpress.
“Porn is everywhere these days. It is becoming difficult to distinguish between advertising and porn, and besides, ordinary films often contain pornographic scenes.”

Shocking discovery: Men more tolerant of porn
Skaarup said that even though porn has become prevalent, it can still create conflicts in relationships.
“A woman can feel left out when her man watches porn,” said Skaarup.
“Even if it is something that a couple choose to share, the woman cannot help but compare herself to the porn actress. Generally, men are therefore more tolerant of porn.”
