UK warns travellers to Denmark of ‘general threat from terrorism’

Attacks could be indiscriminate, Foreign Office warns
The British Foreign Office has issued a general warning to travellers concerning the security situation in Denmark following the attacks in Copenhagen during the weekend that left two civillians dead and five police officers injured (see here).

“There is a general threat from terrorism,” the warning reads.
“Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places frequented by foreigners.”
The statement alludes to a possible link between the Copenhagen attacks and the activities of international terror organisations. “There is considered to be a heightened threat of terrorist attack globally against UK interests and British nationals, from groups or individuals motivated by the conflict in Iraq and Syria. You should be vigilant at this time,” it says.
Around 150,000 British tourists visit Denmark every year.
