A 77-year-old woman was found strangled in her west Jutland apartment on Saturday morning
UPDATE: 04/08/2014 16:05 – A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in the strangling death of 77-year-old Else Johannesen, according to a police statement. Police had asked the public for help and had received a number of tips. The woman’s purse was also missing from her apartment. The boy was arrested at about 13:00 this afternoon and is scheduled to appear before the court in Holstebro tomorrow.

An in-home assistant found a 77-year-old woman dead in her Lemvig apartment on Saturday. Police said that they considered the death of Else Johannesen suspicious from the start. They ordered an autopsy, which revealed that the woman had been strangled.
Johannesen was last seen alive at around 20:15 on Friday evening and west and mid Jutland police are asking that anyone who may have seen anything unusual near the woman’s Frederik Street apartment come forward.

The investigation is continuing and police declined to provide further details.
