A 31-year-old man was arrested several hours before the body was found
Acting on what they called “strong suspicion”, north Zealand police arrested a 31-year-old man yesterday afternoon following the death of a woman whose body was found in a green area in Lyngby some hours later.
“We received information which led us to arrest and charge the suspect,” Morten Kaare Pedersen, an inspector with the north Zealand police, told Jyllands-Posten. “We found a deceased person in a green area near where the suspect lives.”
Pedersen declined to release any more information, saying only that the woman had not yet been identified and that police are “intensively investigating” her death, which he said happened at sometime in the past few days.

The suspect is scheduled to appear before a judge today. Another man has also been arrested, but police would not say what role he may have played in the woman’s death.
