Government promising full compensation for Bodil flood damage
The government is altering the rules covering compensation for flood damage in order to free up more money for victims of Hurricane Bodil.
“The new rules would allow full compensation for damaged buildings,” Henrik Sass Larsen (S), the business and growth minister, told DR Nyheder.
The changes will be retroactive, so Bodil victims can get some help.

“I am going to propose a bill right away and have parliament to it very quickly,” said Larsen. “It will cost the treasury 400 million kroner, but it is the right thing to do.”
Larsen said Bodil victims have been waiting for a long time.
“Let me get this through parliament, but I cannot imagine that anyone will say no.”
