Shoppers are running a smaller risk of buying he wrong product online as retailers become better at describing their products
Shoppers are increasingly forgoing the busy high streets for the comfort of their computers when it comes to buying Christmas gifts.
According to the online shopping association Foreningen for Internethandel, online Christmas sales have increased 30 percent compared to last year, though association chairman Annette Falberg says customers are still after the same types of presents.
“It’s mostly toys, jewellery, books and games, so it’s mostly the same as the presents that are bought in physical shops,” Falberg told DR Nyheder.

Falberg added that customers feel more secure shopping online because the shops are better at presenting their goods online.
“They present measurements which make it more and more difficult to buy the wrong thing,” she said. “And if you buy the wrong thing then you are anyways guaranteed a full right to return the product until after Christmas.”
